My day (so far)

My hatred of Lexis-Nexus continues. I started a search this morning, which got me 327 hits because I can't do date ranges on the search, only "before" or "after" Bleh. I was working merrily along until noon when I realized that I had to go meet these girls at 1 to take them to
rdg's place. So I quickly showered, and dressed, managing to grab a pot of yogurt and a Ryvita on my way out the door. I of course was late (though not much) because I had to stop and get a new bus pass first. Got them over to the flat and set up.
After that I ran back to school and met up with Tom and Julie. Looks like I'm going to Brighton tomorrow. Julie is going house-hunting, doesn't want to go alone, and Tom has plans, so she's paying for my train ticket so I can go with her. We'll see how functional I am, as I will be out till 4am probably and need to catch a train at 9ish. Bleh. Oh well I get to see the ocean!!!! *happy dance*
I also went to the library to see if there was a way of getting special access to Strand Polytech's library for 2 books they have that I need. Nope. Bastards. I had to order them interlibrary loan, which means waiting 1-2 weeks for books that are 6 blocks away, if that. We only have once a month reference access to King's, so I can't just go there and get them. The books are also at UCL, which has the same problem Grrrr *makes nasty faces at Strand Poly and UCL*
After all this is was nearly 4, and I hadn't had lunch. You can imagine how I felt. So, I came home, had lunch, and went through the last 50 Lexus articles. I'm going to run one more search (pre-1995 articles on Patriarch Pavle and Bosnia), work a bit more, and later get ready to head to the Ballroom. It's been a long day. TGIF.

Date: 2003-07-25 09:58 am (UTC)Drunkness should be inflicted on friends not strangers? An interesting theory, but not one that most people subscribe to.
