First Day-Battle in Seattle

So today was the first day of meet. I got to sleep in until 6:30 and was still waay early for my first race at 4:00, since the doors opened at 9:00, and I showed up around 9:30. I just couldn't sit in the house and at least at the rink I could catch up on my gossip. Since for this meet were doing Texas Qualifiers for the long distance (i.e. if you have heats you must get 5th or better in one of 2 finals to race the long). I decided to race my Open, since it was only 20 laps and hardly anyone had signed up for it. The race went well, and I even beat Salomé (a rare occurrence). That race was followed by the 4 lady where we got disqualified because we thought that it was 5 laps twice rather than 5 laps once. At least we'll be ready for Regionals, where we have to skate full distance. The four mix was as short as expected, we got lapped out.
