Farscape - "Bringing Home the Beacon"

trilliumgrlOkay, so these are my impression of this evening's episode of Farscape. For those of you in the US, we are about 2 weeks ahead of you here in the UK, so I'll cut it. Honestly though, it really isn't very spoilery.
I honestly haven't seen an episode of Farscape that I enjoyed so much in a while (directed by Rowan Woods, that always helps). Could have been due to the copious, amount of Aeryn. She was in fine form for the first half of the episode, in fact all the girls were. Aeryn though, really showed what she has become and what she still is. (Can I pleaaassse have her? Or grow up to be her? Pretty please?) The plotting of Grayza gives a real hint of what is to come in the wider Farscape world world (and now won't *sniff*). The second half, back on Moya. For a moment you are reminded what a wonderful pair John and Aeryn make. At the end, you are reminded again. Aeryn's gone and John can't stop staring at the body that was supposed to be her. D'argo's sentiment that "we will get her back" reminds us that while they have different goals, they are yet a crew. Good comedy thrown in, as well I liked JOhn's switch from "sane" to "crazy". I often doubt his sanity now, wondering what will push him over the edge that last time. Perhaps this is it? Losing Aeryn (physically) once was bad enough. Good episode, I'm now even more pained that it is ending *mutters invectives against Sci-Fi execs*
Keep in mind what I this is what I wrote on a piece of paper immediately after seeing the episode, with few edits. It really just is a train-of-thought more than anything. I reserve my right to change my mind after actually thinking about it for a bit. I can't wait until next week, yet I dread it, because each episode brings us closer to the unintentional end.
Ah the perils of being a SF fan. Back to work now.
