Victoria Park Skate
With such a gorgeous day, I had no excuse not to go to practice this morning. Took the bus to Victoria Park, which was amazingly fast, easy and cheap. Faster even than the Tube. All hail TFL’s journey planner.
Skating itself was nothing special, a several runs of the smaller loop and a final cruise of two laps around the bigger lap. I fond I am working way too hard, and leaning forward and obscene amount. Really need to work on that or I’m going to get clobbered when I get home.
Funniest part was Duracell Dave, who joined us late, and was wearing speed skates for the first time. *giggle* He now understand why I don’t do the FNS on my skates. It’s too much work, too much pain for what is supposed to be a “fun” skate. I feel bad for him though, he’s really rather fast on his rec skates, but he’s going to have to do some serious form work to get that proficient on 5-wheelers. Sucks to be him. :(
Tomorrow the ExCel group is going to Tatum, so I am going to pick between that or going and working on my own at Southwark Park. e2xn is at Hyde Park and if I’m going to work that kind of surface I can stay closer to home.

Aren't buses fantastic? I'm only just starting to realise and this is from a real tube-hater
I took a closer look at that shop I was telling you about - it's called Gosh - but on closer inspection it doesn't seem to do much more than comics.

Ohhh thanks for looking! I might go in and wander, as I am a comic fiend and it's always nice to know of another source for them.
