All sorts of Yesterdayness

Woke up went to school. I had AN 404 seminar, which was really good. We were talking about globalisation and since Prof. Stafford was kind of out it (poor thing) we were really kind of on our own in some ways. Plus, it’s a topic that’s easier to grasp in some ways than something like Structuralism. More reality, less theory, just the way I like it. Ran some errands, went to my next class…. Where no one showed up. There was an anti-war walk-out (plus some people were just late). Then Prof. Mundy comes in to let us (me) know that she's canceling class and we'll make it up next term, since she’s in the middle of making anti-war banners. This left me with 3 hours to kill before my meeting with Parry. I was going to go to the Seligman and read, but there was some problem in the Old Building, with firemen and such so instead I went and cleared out my email account in the library. At 100+ messages, this took some time.
The meeting with Parry was amazingly pleasant. The issue he had with our papers stemmed from the fact that the needed information wasn’t in the readings. The comments on my paper say “a good well-written account” *bounce* I feel smart. After that I met up with Kat, Holly, Kris, and Sean. We headed back to my place where Kris got a shower (their baggage had not yet shown up at that time), I got some food, and then we went to the Anchor Tap pub. This is a local that I had not yet been to, a situation I very much regret having been in there now. It’s lovely, with good cider and I will be back.

Overall, it was a fun evening where I had very much drunken conversation with good friends. I got to watch the other 4 compete in Quiz Night. *giggle* not only were they drunk, they were drunk Americans doing a British quiz night. Such great fun.
