Temping Fun
Jan. 5th, 2004 10:58 pmToday was the first of two days temping at an eye clinic in Ballard. Basically, I'm a file girl, dealing with a kooky file system, which goes by last name, then color-codes the first name and puts each color group, into sections by lat year seen. Within each year, the files are basically have the most-recently dealt with patient first. This is a really easy system for putting away files, as you just put them away at the front of the appropriate year section. Finding files is a slightly more complex matter. Interesting and a bit challenging. Overall the job is less boring than other temp assignments I've had and I'm making better money.
So, come hell or snow I'll be trying to get into work tomorrow morning. To that end I'm currently at World's End, curled in a chair, listening to game and keeping myself amused. Getting from here to Ballard should not only be easier, even with snow, but they also don't have a Driveway of Doom like I have at home.
Wednesday I have two interviews set up, plus another one on Friday. Right now the only down point is trying to find time/technology to get out more resumes. I'm thinking of trying to scam some time over at Dad's on Tuesday night *ponders* Working here doesn't work real well (Mac vs. Windows + no disk drives), plus I feel poo-ish (sore throat). Hope I;m not coming down with what Sean has/had.
Enough blathering. I'm going to go read more of The Hobbit, it makes me giggle.
