mmmm Tikka Kabaob
Aug. 7th, 2004 08:39 pmTonight we (me,
seanb,
lithera, and
pullthestars) finally went to Usmania Tikka Kabob down on Aurora. Yummy, Pakistani food (halal even). We will have to go back. While the service was a smidge slow, the food made up for it, in my opinion. Methinks that
technocracygirl and
algol would enjoy this place.
Today I also did a ton of shopping, finally getting myself a duvet cover, as well as socks, panties, and other fun stuff. It was my mid-summer shopping spree and enjoyed myself heartily.
In other news, tomorrow is the Seattle Skate (and walk) for MS, so I will be up all sorts of early in order to be at Gasworks to help set up the finish line. I'll have to be there before the 7:30AM start, since the timer is currently in my possession (thanks to the lovely
seanb who helped me pick it up). New this year is a 4-mile walk from Gasworks to Ballard and back. Should make it interesting. Wish I could skate it myself (even just the 12-mile half marathon), but my IT band and knee won't allow it. RIght now even 6 miles hurts like the devil.
Work has been the devil recently. Too many people with no clue, combined with the need to hire a new PT Aide before the current one goes back to WSU. On the plus side, the newbies are (slowly but surely) learning and my boss is going to be gone for 3 whole weeks. The quite generated by this (even given scheduling chaos) should give me a chance to get some work done.
Side notes:
kespernorth I'll be calling you soon to see if you're up to going out next Saturday.
technocracygirl Miss you.
