Dec. 29th, 2001 11:34 amI have a new game. Whenever my phone rings, I answer it using a randomly selected accent. Now keep in mind that my personal phone line is used exclusively for 'net access and long distance calls. Anyone calling in on it is either (a) looking for someone else, or (b) a salesperson. Hence I feel a need to screw with these people. It's a waaaaay funny game, since people get very confused when a Brit, or a Spanish speaker answers the phone. tehehehe

-ring-
"Digigadget Corporation."
-pause-
It's great. Stops anyone right in their tracks. Especially salespeople.

Date: 2001-12-29 12:32 pm (UTC)Now, see, we did something like that in the House of Glass, since we had about 4 different rings for different numbers going through the same line, but we only ever gave out one number. So if it was a different ring, we'd know it was a telemarketer or a bill collector for someone else. I took to answering it along the lines of, "Ooooh, what are you wearing..."
I got the coolest responses on that. Someone called me a sicko; and one telemarketer told me what he was wearing, then tried to sell me something.
