Throat Hurts (party=suck)

So went out to a party for a friend of Jules last night. I did this (along with Tom)in order to give her some company because her ex was possibly going to come. The party was held in O'Neils in Leicester Square in the 3rd floor "music room." It was loud, it was expensive (£3.10 for a pint of Strongbow for gods sake), and the party was mostly composed of little groups of people who didn't know each other. It was impossible to chat because of the noise, which I refuse to call music. Not only was it just generally bleh but the DJ had no sense of flow and the bass was up way too high. It was nice to see Jules and chat with her, people-watching all the mundanes (most of whom couldn't dance) was kind of funny, and I had a nice chat with Tom on the way home (we split early) but I think overall I would have preferred to stay home and watch Romeo Must Die. Then I would have seen Jet Li and I wouldn't have a sore throat from having to yell all night.
I think I'm going to have an ice lolly soon.

Date: 2003-07-14 02:19 pm (UTC)When I came back from Europe, I was disgusted by the fact thqat O'Hare airport (Chicago) shows you WHERE TO BLOODY STAND when the tram doors open. And it reminds you to not fall on your face at the end of the moving walkway. And other such "cover our ass" sorts of things...
