This morning I woke up at 6:17, two minutes after I’m supposed to leave the house. Not good, but I got my act together and was ready to go by 6:35ish, meaning I could easily get part of my morning workout in. Life was good.
Then, driving to park my car in its usual hidey hole, I got rear ended (i.e. another car struck me from behind because I had to yield to a big-arsed Metro bus on the Viaduct). My car is fine (unlike the other driver’s), my body seems to be fine, and my mind is okay. Overall though my day sucked. I got lectured by 2 massage therapists, one Physical Therapist, and am going to get an earful from the Chiropractor Monday morning (she’s in California right now). While the concern of my co-workers is lovely, frankly I’m sick of it. One person was nearly yelling at me, like I was a child, just b/c I am not gung-ho to open up a 3rd party claim (I haven’t had time to put PIP on my car ins). Until I’m sure I’m hurting I’m not doing a damm thing, and she didn’t seem to get that.
For those of you who are wondering, yes I still went to skating practice. I had nothing else to do and skating is very calming on some level. I mostly skated with the little ones, but it was a pretty mellow practice anyway. Some people drink, I skate. Cheesy but true.
Tomorrow the adjuster comes out to look at my car. I think there might be one new dent on my fender. I’m not sure and don’t really care. God I love my car. After that it’s off to the rink, then Kat’s party. Maybe I’ll also take some stuff down to the new place on the way to the rink. I’m not sure yet. Time for sleep now that I’ve had my bath. Epsom salt is your friend.
