Found music/Last night

I love the internet. There was this song they've played at the ballroom that I really like and it got majorly stuck in my head last night. I (of course) have no clue who/what it is but I do remember the lyrics. One internet search later, voila! It's Wolfsheim's "Once in a Lifetime." Now what's playing at the Ballroom is a remix, but it's the song itself that interests me. One more CD added to my little wish list.

In other news last night was good, lots of regulars, lots of dancing. I could tell I haven't been to the gym since Tuesday though, because I got sore. I was also favoring my ankle a smidge because I stepped on it funny early in the night, but that's okay because I got to dance and remember there's a world outside my computer. I also got to remember that it's getting into fall and when one leaves clubs at 3am one really should take a coat to the club. I was just being lazy, the only coat I have here is my winter one and it's such a pain to carry. I paid for my mistake though (my bus was late coming home) and won't do it again.

Now to a bit more surfing (I need to wake up) then work.

about how much I hate my dissertation, on so many levels. I still am missing data and I'm about 2000 words over. That's a lot to cut when I already feel that the paper is too general. But I.....

- had a lovely conversation with my mommy, who is also going to call me tomorrow (special treat!)

- made really good Lion's Head Soup for dinner. Lots of mushrooms and ginger, yummy and soothing.

- got an email I've been waiting for, which made me smile.

Thusly I feel much better. Now I'm going to go put away my leftovers and try and work some more. *gets her DELETE key ready*
