So my car dies. Driving home from Whole Foods with Sean on Saturday morning it suddenly died. This sucks ass as I REALLY need my car, which I can't replace until I find a job. Luckily (unlike the first analysis), my brother and father both think it's something electrical rather than the engine being fried (their first-line analysis). This is a good thing. Tomorrow, we'll get the car towed (thank god for parent's having AAA) and looked at, then we'll go from there. Big props to my brother who took his kid-free day and piddled with my car rather than seeing his lady. Big props also to Sean (and the rest of World's End) for putting up with my psychotic self. After the last few day I don't want any more car problems for the next 6 months, minimum.

After the car death I was convinced to still go out to [livejournal.com profile] inevitability's Welcome Home bash, which I ended up enjoying quite a bit. It was lovely to see Jamie, as well as a all sorts of other people that I had not see since before I left for the UK. I got a bit tipsy (Black Orchids will do that), danced a bit, and discovered the improved vent system at the Merc, which I much appriciated, as did my eyeballs. I also got the fun of putting on some of my dancing stuff from London (slit skirt, stockings, backless shirt), which was nice.

The bad stuff was BAD the good stuff was GOOD, sometimes that's what the Universe hands you I guess.

BTW - Happy Hanukkah to [livejournal.com profile] technocracygirl and [livejournal.com profile] thezzyzx (and any other folks celebrating who I missed).
