Skating Stuff

Practicing after a week off sucks. The entire team can barely move and I'm doing even worse than I was.
Yesterday I had Francine watch my left foot, because it was sliding out. There was a simple reason for this - my frame was too far to the outside. Pretty easy fix, right? Wrong. I shifted it back in to about the mid-line of my foot (it had been almost past my big toe) and I remember why it got moved in the first place - it was making my hip hurt. So, I need to strengthen my hip (duh!) without a gym membership (ie I'm back to the PT exercises) and maybe futz with the back end of my frame, getting a better line for it.
All of this has to be done ASAP, since with got an Auburn (home) meet on the second to last weekend of January. I'm having a bad thought that maybe I can weasel out of racing by agreeing to line-judge both days. Probably not, but it's a nice little fantasy.
