I'm Baaack!

I have internet at home again! It's just a modem, but it's really all I need and it's not THAT slow. Besides, I can't justify spending $40 or so per month for a faster connection when it's just me and I'm never home.

I had a lovely Halloween at World's End. Got to be glittery and skimpy as Titania and flirt, and drink,and see lots of lovely people that I haven't seen in ages. Makes me look forward to New Year's. Especially if there is far less puking than at this party ;)

My new found internety joy will hopefully lead to new found jobby joy, as I now have the equipment to go a huntin for a job which does not suck my soul and rot my brain. The hours and money are okay, and that's usually the nicest thing I can think of to say about it.

Tonight, after my obligatory post-lunch nap I managed to clean my bathroom and do a bit of decorating and tidying. I keep this up I may be able to get the rest of the cleaning done before Wednesday. seanb comes over then, so I figure that's a good goal.

Speaking of goals, I'm learning to live without my car. While I have enough for a down payment on a decent used car, I really have no time to shop for one. I'll eventually have time, so until then I get some extra reading time at the bus stop.

not a believer in the $500 craigslist special i take it?

i bought a beater truck for $800, intending to drive it for a year until it died and then sell the parts for a couple hundred. it lasted three years and i sold it running for $500

And think of your bussin this way - the longer you ride the bus, the more you save up, and then you can just buy a used car outright instead of making a down payment!
