Lazy day today, we don't have practice due to father's day, so I haven't done a whole lot, mostly bummed around and read, and pondered what I have to get done before heading out to Portland Thursday afternoon.
Devon (and Chuck) ran practice yesterday, which was all sorts of interesting. They tried to come up with even teams for Cat and Mouse, but that failed miserably. The other team had almost their entire contingent left when I finally died off, and after I died my team only had 2 people left. Now I was skating well, but not THAT well.
Later on, Devon had us do up-and-downs, which I haven't done in years. After that she had us do laps (knees bent, hands behind knees, no pushing on the straightaway), taking the corners in 4, then 3, then 2 crosses. This meant using a heck of a lot of power. About the only person who could really get full speed out of the this was Corrin. *serious admiration* I actually did OK and kept a decent pace with just those few steps allowed. Definitely a drill I'm going to keep in my arsenal.
That's all for now, time to watch Witchblade</u
