trilliumgrl: Me, putting on make-up before the wedding (Default)
It's been a while. I know it has. I have not touched my computer for a week, simply because I have been exhausted at night. That and I've just been not dealing with the world. Plus, my bedroom is really cold, while my living room has a warm couch with a blanket. Now enough with the excuses, and on with the update.

There's not much to say. On Saturday I went to Jenn's party, which was major fun. Thanks to Kat and Marci for coming with me. On Tuesday I met up with Marci in the U-district for some CD shopping. I got 7 CDs for under $60, which was a good thing. I had the joy of a 2-day long headache on Wednesday and Thursday, which was eliminated with the help of some acupuncture on Thursday night. Let me say I totally endorse this method of treatment. I had 2 needles in my right foot, one in my left, and a needle in my right hand. After an hour with the needles in the headache was mostly gone and by the next day I was pain-free. Such a very happy thing. Friday at work was insane with all of us just busting out at the seams, it was strange but a lot of fun. Beyond that I spent the week waking up early to get to the gym and working my rear off. Saturday the 29th was a day filled going to the Market to get my comics and then going to practice. After practice I fell asleep at around 9:00, proving that I really needed some sleep (or I was too lazy to do something else).

Some Personal Messages:

Panda: *hug*
Jenn: Sorry you're sick sweetie *passes the chicken soup and hugs*
Kat: Be nice to your body. And give a girl a call :)
Jenny: Remember that job searching is a process made to break you down. Winning is surviving.
Everyone else: I love you madly and if you really want to know what's up with me, give a call.

The link below will (hopefully) take people to a commentary that found its way into my e-mail. It came from the Justwatch listserv that focuses on the tribunals for Rwanda and Yugoslavia, as well as other international human rights issues. The writer is a gentleman by the name of Benjamin Ferencz, who was a prosecutor at the Nuremberg tribunals. I think that his opinion is both insightful as well as practical. It's a touch long, but I liked it so........ More later, too cold to type.
